Today was a relatively busy Saturday. Fashion week is right about the corner and I spent the morning doing model castings at work. Afterwards I jetted off to see "Hats: An Anthropology by Stephen Jones", and winded down my day at Bouchon Bakery on Columbus Circle.

Even with no leaves left, Central Park was beautiful. The day was warm enough (I use the term "warm" loosely here) to get away with only wearing a sweater under my coat. This coat was the same coat my grandmother wore when she first came to New York City to work at the age of seventeen before returning home. It's nice to have this piece of family history in my wardrobe and I like knowing that my grandmother and I both moved to the city at the same age.
This was the first time in my life that I have ever eaten a grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup. I can't believe I've been missing out for so long! It was a delicious first experience, and I'm left craving more. Dessert was interesting and I loved how the chocolate syrup would harden when it met the ice cream. I could've done without the pastry, but overall the meal was a great experience. I loved how my friend and I sat there chatting for the longest time and they never rushed us.
I'm getting excited for fashion week, but it's been exhausting running around town. I hope everyone has a very relaxing weekend, and I look forward to writing soon!
