Can I just say that the weather this weekend was beyond perfection? I was more than happy to get out of the house and head up to LA for a day. How could a girl really say no to some shopping and fantastic desserts? Blockheads Shavery and Harajuku Crepe were on the hit list, and they were certainly worth the drive!

The weather proved an excellent excuse to pick up new sunglasses. These babies are helping me forget the pain of sitting on, and consequently mangling, my old pair (last seen here). I guess now is a good time to start using those darned cases glasses come in.

Dinner was enjoyed at a restaurant by the name of Mezze. I absolutely fell in love with how open and airy the place was. It was quite beautiful and definitely gave dinner a nice and relaxed atmosphere. The menu mostly consists of several "small plates" meant to be shared. I have to say that I quite like this method of eating as it certainly feels intimate and leaves room to try several different dishes. The smoked salmon was by far my favorite dish during dinner, and the cheesecake left me wanting more.
