We celebrated my grandfather's 90th birthday this week. After his birthday lunch, my brother and I took off to see "The Art of the Brick", Nathan Sawaya's exhibition in Taipei. For those unfamiliar with his work, he creates sculptures with the uncommon medium of lego bricks. A lot of his work was fairly breathtaking, and really quite impressive. There was the most adorable cafe outside the exhibition that changes it decor according to the current show. I enjoyed quite the delicious Calipis smoothie (and left with a few souvenirs).

This time tomorrow I'll be on an airplane headed back to California. My time in Taiwan has been so memorable, and I'm truly thankful to have had so many thoughtful and beautiful experiences here. So what does this lady here take to entertain herself on a thirteen hour flight? My cellphone (which also serves as a music player), iPad, a wallet, Moleskin, book, and my newly acquired planner. I have truly been blessed these last few weeks, and I'm so excited to embark on the next chapter of my life.
