One of my best friends is about to embark on quite the extraordinary adventure - she's moving to Scotland for a few months to work. Although I'm incredibly proud of this young woman, I'm going to miss her just as much. We decided to bid her adieu by noshing on some seriously delicious comfort food. Pies-n-Thighs dishes out fried goodies and legit sides that are guaranteed to fill you up. Their biscuits were flakey, and tasted like perfection smothered in honey butter. The skin of their fried chicken was crisp, light, and perfectly salted. We also tried their "insane burger", and it was the perfect combination of juicy meat, runny eggs, and crisp bacon. All of this was washed down with a "shandy" (beer and lemonade). I actually really like mixing beer and lemonade together, and I'd have to say my only complaint regarding this meal was that this drink wasn't nearly bubbly enough for my liking. We were so stuffed at the end of the meal, but being incredibly greedy we just had to order pies to go. All in all though, I've got some serious love for this place.

While walking off dinner, we stumbled upon Species by the Thousands across the street. This shop is super quaint with a selection of incredibly special jewelry. My friend and I ended up getting matching friendship rings, and I hardly go without wearing it now.
