After the semester ended, I took a short trip through Pennsylvania and Maryland before flying to California. My first stop was Philadelphia for a day to check out some historical sites like Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. It was interesting to see so much history in this city, as Philadelphia was America's first capitol. When I wasn't sightseeing, I checked out Old City for some quaint shopping, and noshed on brunch at Green Eggs café. Finally, I caught dinner at chef José Garces' restaurant Amada before hopping on a train for Baltimore.
