Recently opened during the Fall of 2013, the eslite Spectrum Songyan Store brings together artists and designers abound. The lower levels feature culinary delicacies to enjoy from a range of cuisines and price ranges. Above, various artists and designers showcase and sell work in uniquely designed spaces. It's definitely invigorating to see so many fresh designers with new ideas. The center also features the eslite bookstore, where there's a music section to browse through records old and new. I love their bookstore as they carry international books with a heavy emphasis on design and art. It's impossible to leave this center without an armful of well curated and designed goods (as well as full stomach)!

If breaking the bank isn't in the books for you, or you get tired of browsing, across the street features a gallery and museum converted from an old tobacco factory. This season they celebrated a cartoon by the name of "Old Master Q". It was interesting to see a modern take on the character design.

I definitely recommend checking out this spot as it's a feast on the eye for those interested in design!
