Queens Botanical Garden

5.13.2014

This week's adventure took me to Flushing to check out the Queens Botanical Garden. Although small in size, it's still quite a sight to see and rather fun. The visitor's center features a really interesting "green" roof you can walk up and see different plants. The garden itself is divided into different sections with themes, but my personal favorite was the meadow. It featured an incredible expanse of grass littered with trees and flowers. I had such a fun time doing somersaults in the grass and making daisy chains. It was as if I was transported right back to my childhood - and that's something you can't get just anywhere.

  15. Oh wow I had no idea there was one in Queens, I know the one in Brooklyn of course. Great snaps and love the one of your friend with the leaf...awesome. I went to Long Beach today. I love it there, sorta feel like you are in Cali even though still in NY/east coast.
