Anybody who spends five minutes on my blog will pretty much get how much I love food. I'm pretty sure that 80% of this website is dedicated to restaurant reviews and food photography. So, it's probably no surprise that I forced my travel companions to haul themselves on a cab from across town with me to visit Maison Renardy. Why the craze? I only had a two hour window to visit the shop before it closed and I left the country. Yes, I'm crazy about my food.

Maison Renardy is definitely a quintessential quiet cafe. It's nestled on the corner of the street in a quaint neighborhood. You'll walk in to cases filled with colorful cakes, and delectable chocolates. I plopped myself down and enjoyed a simple ham sandwich before setting my eyes on a selection of chocolates, lemon meringue tart, chocolate mousse cake, and hot chocolate. I doubt that there is anything in this shop that wouldn't make the grumpiest person smile. So do yourself a favor and make that cross town cab ride to Maison Renardy.
