Upon hearing that my brother and I were swinging through Vienna, my mother implored us to visit Hotel Sacher for a slice of their torte. Never ones to disappoint our mother, we swung by as quickly as possible to check out this fabulous chocolate cake my mother fell in love with. Besides, how do you say "no" to a thin layer of apricot jam spread between moist chocolate cake and a dense layer of chocolate frosting? Whether or not you're into sweets, it's still worth it to check out the café. After all, very few cakes are steeped in such a rich and long history!
