My brother and I were mulling over a map of Budapest when we thought to ourselves that everything looked super walkable. I mean, yeah there's that whole business with a bridge and a large body of water to cross, but hey - we're young! What ensued was one of the longest days we've experienced. If it wasn't for that funicular, I'm pretty sure that the day would've devolved into my brother and I seeking refuge in the nearest KFC and giving up on the city. In all seriousness though, consider taking the tram, and the funicular is a must. As for the sights? Non-stop gorgeous scenery from start to finish. Oh, and don't be a tool and block the walkway on the bridge. You'll literally run into some very angry Hungarian bicyclists.
