Back when I used to live in New York City, I would frequent Smorgasburg in Williamsburg quite often. It's a fun place to discover new mouthwatering foods with friends (and a cute date spot to boot). Well, it's a cute date spot until you drag a sweet guy to "the best food truck" that only serves milkshakes and grilled cheese sandwiches...only to find out he thought it was cute how excited you were and didn't want to be a downer by saying he's lactose intolerant. He ended up finding something else to eat, and I may or may not have had two milkshakes that afternoon. Win-win?
Anyways, you can imagine my excitement when I got wind that Smorgasburg was coming to Los Angeles. I wanted to see what goodies L.A. had to offer, and I certainly wasn't let down. I visited Donut Friend first and had a strawberry donut. It was simple, but the perfect amount of sweet. I'm definitely going to try the Polar Berry Club next. Lobsterdamus was up next with their lobster nachos. They definitely had a spicy kick to em', and they didn't skimp on the lobster. We wrapped up with Big Mozz for mozzarella sticks. While they were tasty, the portions were definitely not worth the price tag of $10. Next time, I'll be making a beeline for the donuts.
