North Italia may boast nine locations across five states, but it's certainly no "average chain restaurant". When ours opened in Orange County, I quickly picked up a reservation to see what the hype was all about. Since then, I've been dozens of times, and each visit never disappointed. After all, what is there to dislike about handcrafted pizza, pasta, and cocktails?
First things first, start with their truffle garlic bread and dig into fluffy bread baked into a cast iron pan with a healthy dollop of ricotta on top. Their chef's board is another must. It's laden with rich options of meat, cheese, preserves, and various snacks such as nuts and olives. While their crisp calamari isn't a standout dish, I still ordered it anyways since I love calamari. For the main course, their spaghetti & meatballs is a signature dish that's simple, but perfected. Also make sure to grab their daily pizza that's always a surprise and a great choice. Lastly, enjoy their olive oil cake for a lighter dessert, or their dark chocolate tart if you're looking for something on the more decadent side.
